Sold iPodincar.net

Today (on my birthday!) I sold my content website iPod in Car to iLounge.com. I won’t get into the specifics, but I was really happy with the sale.

I set up the website about 3 years ago when I first got my iPod. After a few months I stopped updating it and left it alone. It had some adsense ads running on it generating a little bit of income. This Christmas I decided to completely redo it; I came up with a nice looking design and moved all the old content over to wordpress. I used wordpress so that it would be easier to update, and I planned to keep it updated. The new site went live in January, and in the past three months I increased revenue 10x.

I decided to sell it because I have a couple big projects I want to focus on. I need the time to focus on these projects, as well as the cash to fund it. I’m really glad I was able to sell it to iLounge because I think they can bring a lot more value to the property than any other owner. I wish them the best of luck with it and I can’t wait to see what they do with it.

This was a great birthday present.
